Pilgrims

This is a photograph taken of Ramsey Abbey School, which shows the approximate site of the original Abbey  from the top of Shillow hill.  If we ignore the road and farm buildings, we can get a feeling of what the pilgrims, that visited the Abbey in those far off days, must have seen when standing on the hill.  The Abbey with it's towers standing proud must have been a truly magnificent sight.
