The three Rams heads in the centre have been carved facing forward instead of sideways as on the Ramsey shield to the left, which might imply that they were an afterthought !
This shows the carved armrests and miserecords(tip up seats) on the south side of the chancel, which were brought from Ramsey Abbey after the Dissolution in 1539.
